PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyke Bison (ranked 3838 p4p, 3538 weight class) and Wing Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bison comes into the arena with Del The Funky Homosapien - Jaw Gymnastics blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyke Bison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wing Wang!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wang circles away quickly and effectively.
Bison changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Wang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bison has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wang is on him like a limpet, forcing Bison back against the cage.
Wang fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bison throws a left and a right that both miss

and Wang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wang chips away with some ground and pound.
Bison is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wang wants to pass the guard but Bison is keeping the position.
Bison wants to stand and escape but Wang is having none of it.

Bison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wang is controlling him.

The fighters circling - Bison throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Wang looks to clinch
and Bison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wang dives in for a single leg takedown but Bison sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Bison wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wang has his takedown stuffed
and Bison counters with a stiff right hand.
Bison has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tyke Bison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wing Wang.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bison's corner calls for a 1-2. Bison obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bison stuns Wang with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wang looks winded!

Oooooh!!! Bison has knocked Wang down with a huge combo! Bison steps away and waves a wobbly Wang back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Wing Wang has been cut.

Wang is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Bison just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Wang has gone limp and this one is over!
