Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jens Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Champman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Champman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jens Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Champman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen tries to clinch there but Champman circles away.
Jensen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Champman tries to bum rush Jensen with a series of wild strikes but Jensen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jensen throws the left hand but Champman avoids the punch easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jensen.
Champman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jensen off and has taken his back!
Jensen trying to control the hands but Champman breaks the grip.
Jensen is keeping busy.
Champman is trying to stick to Jensen's back but Jensen is turning into Champman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Champman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jensen.
Jensen looking to sit in guard and control but Champman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jensen has his foot on Champman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Champman works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Champman tries to keep at a distance but Jensen has taken the fight into the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jensen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Champman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Champman is looking to control Jensen's arms but Jensen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Champman has his back to the ropes.
Jensen goes for a takedown attempt but Champman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jensen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Champman's waist but Champman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jensen off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Jensen or perhaps it was just good defense by Champman which made him look bad.
Jensen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Champman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jensen somewhat.
Jensen moves forwards but Champman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jensen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Champman as he jumps to the side.
Champman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jensen.
Jensen throws a hook but Champman avoids it easily.

Jensen cracks Champman with an open hand slap.

Jensen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jensen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Jensen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jensen lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Champman is breathing heavily.
Champman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jensen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Champman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Champman scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Champman counters with a big head kick but Jensen shrugs it off.

and Jensen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jensen motions for Champman to come forward. Jensen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Champman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jensen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Champman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Champman dodges the ground and pound from Jensen.

I would just about give that final round to Robert Champman.
I think Jensen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
