The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miocic takes the fight into the clinch.
Miocic lands an elbow that stopped Adams in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Simon Adams has been cut.

Adams jumps guard and drags Miocic to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Miocic looks to land a strike but Adams avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Miocic drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Adams dives on top into guard.

Miocic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Adams defends it easily.

Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but Miocic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miocic has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
