Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Desouza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desouza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Desouza wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ramirez, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Desouza connects with a nice short shot to Ramirez's temple.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Desouza goes for a takedown attempt but Ramirez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Desouza feints and as Ramirez raises his hands in defense, Desouza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Desouza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramirez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ramirez wants to sweep here but Desouza controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Desouza drops back looking for a leg! Ramirez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramirez manages to kick Desouza off! Desouza jumps back into Ramirez's guard.

Desouza stands up from Ramirez's guard - Desouza perhaps looking for a knockout.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Desouza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ramirez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Desouza on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Desouza looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Horrible takedown by Desouza or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramirez which made him look bad.
Ramirez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Desouza shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Desouza was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Desouza lands a big shot there that rocks Ramirez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Desouza is working for a guillotine from mount but Ramirez frees his head quite easily.

Desouza has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Ramirez is forced to tap!
