Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23925 p4p, 23741 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 53 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 54 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amiga avoids it really well and circles away.
Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Amiga misses with a takedown
and Salvacion counters with a body kick that stops Amiga in his tracks momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Amiga enables Salvacion to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amiga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Amiga is adopting a defensive guard.

Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to his closed guard and prevents Salvacion from doing any damage or advancing position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Amiga is pulling down on Salvacion's head. It's preventing any offense from Salvacion, at least for the moment.

Salvacion is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Amiga's half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Salvacion leaves Amiga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Amiga was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Amiga blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown into Amiga's guard.
Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amiga has Salvacion pulled in close to control his posture.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Salvacion lands with a nice body kick.
Amiga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Amiga thuds his shin into the meat of Salvacion's side.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Richard John Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt.

Salvacion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Amiga!

Amiga is trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up.
Amiga is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Amiga sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Amiga was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Salvacion.
Amiga throws a half hearted mid kick.
Salvacion unleashes a big counter combination but Amiga bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Salvacion gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Salvacion has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gakus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Richard John Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Richard John Salvacion.
Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
