The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson misses the shot to the body.
Mankowski drops his hands momentarily and Patterson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mankowski closes the distance and clinches up with Patterson, looking for a takedown. Mankowski pushes Patterson against the cage but Patterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It seemed like Patterson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mankowski misses with a takedown attempt
and Patterson counters with a nice body shot.
Patterson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Patterson lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Mankowski falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
