Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustav Kinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donny Jepp!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Kinski. Beautiful body shot.
Jepp takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jepp shoots in for a takedown but Kinski shows good takedown defense.
Jepp fails with a takedown attempt.
Kinski lands a really nice looking cross but Jepp seems unphased.
Kinski misses with a wild body shot.

Jepp clinches up against the cage.
Jepp tries to circle away but Kinski has him pinned against the cage.
Jepp manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kinski swings wildly with an uppercut but Jepp uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jepp just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kinski's brow.
Jepp connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kinski's face.
Jepp blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kinski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jepp has clasped his hands together around Kinski's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Kinski regains half guard.
Jepp looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jepp is stalling here. Kinski is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jepp seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kinski has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kinski decides to stand back up. Kinski steps back and let's Jepp get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jepp shoots for a double leg takedown but Kinski sprawls well. He's pushed Jepp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gustav Kinski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donny Jepp.

Jepp clinches.
Kinski misses with a punch on the inside.

Jepp has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kinski uses from the top position.
Kinski wants to stand but Jepp is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jepp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kinski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jepp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kinski content to stall in guard here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kinski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jepp is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kinski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jepp on the side of the head.
Kinski throws an overhand right that lands on Jepp's shoulder, as Jepp tries to avoid the shot.
Kinski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jepp is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Jepp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kinski but Kinski pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kinski changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kinski fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kinski scores with a jab to the body.
Jepp looks winded!
Kinski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jepp under the eye.
Kinski connects with a looping right hand.

Jepp is rocked!
Jepp takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jepp is still on wobbly legs! Can Kinski finish him?
Gustav Kinski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jepp takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kinski connects with a body shot that sends Jepp's belly button to the back.
Kinski drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Jepp's head, knocking him out cold! Kinski is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gustav Kinski!
Our winner, Gustav Kinski, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
