This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 14 losses; Drake Johnson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 13 losses; Dan Macker!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Macker felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Macker is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Johnson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Macker is looking to defend but Johnson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Macker! Johnson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Macker taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 10:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Drake Johnson!
