PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Craven Moorehead (ranked 4502 p4p, 2845 weight class) and Arc Myers (ranked 378 p4p, 270 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craven Moorehead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arc Myers!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moorehead throws a right hand that Myers ducks under and follows up with a left that Myers also avoids with ease.
Moorehead misses with a takedown attempt
and Myers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Moorehead shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Myers but Myers pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Myers unleashes a big counter combination but Moorehead bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Moorehead shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myers's guard.
Moorehead seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Moorehead advances position into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myers is letting Moorehead control him for a moment.
Myers is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Moorehead asserts his dominance and retains side control.
A lull in the action here as Moorehead stalls from top position.

Myers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Moorehead is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moorehead thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Moorehead controls the position.

Myers is wriggling around trying to escape but Moorehead has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Myers taps out and Moorehead picks up the big win! Great work there by Moorehead!

Craven Moorehead decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
