Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garrison Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin moves into the clinch.
Griffin gets through Steele's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Griffin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Griffin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Griffin misses with a body punch.
Griffin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Steele's efforts to push away.
Griffin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Steele backwards.
Griffin slowing the pace effectively.
A nice left hand lands by Griffin.
Steele's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Griffin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Steele does it's job there.


It looks like Peter Griffin has been cut.
Steele fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Griffin on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Good standup being displayed there by Steele as he connects with a hook.
Griffin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steele swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Griffin fails to land with a series of punches.
Griffin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Griffin looks gassed!
Griffin tries to clinch there but Steele circles away.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steele as he avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele lands a nice shot to the body.
Steele drops Griffin with a nice combination! Steele dives into Griffin's guard, looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steele trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom.
Steele postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Steele postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Steele throwing strikes but missing.
Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steele throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Steele distracts Griffin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Steele throwing strikes from guard but Griffin blocks nicely.
Steele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Griffin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Griffin has momentary wrist control but Steele slips an elbow through the middle.
Steele lands a couple of digs.

Steele scoring with some ground and pound.
Steele is looking to advance position but Griffin has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Steele working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steele swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Steele tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Steele flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Steele wants to control but Griffin is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Steele is looking to improve his position but Griffin isn't that keen on the idea.
Steele regains half guard.
Steele gets back to full guard.
Steele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griffin!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Griffin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Garrison Steele dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Peter Griffin's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Griffin moves forwards but Steele connects with a nice, crisp jab.


That has opened up Peter Griffin's cut even more.
Griffin misses with a double jab
and Steele counters with a stiff right hand.
Griffin tries to clinch up but Steele circles away and keeps his distance.
Griffin misses with a combination
and Steele counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Steele is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Steele lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Griffin sprawling to the canvas. Steele follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Griffin hang on?


The cut above Peter Griffin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Steele is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Steele thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Steele throwing shots but Griffin is blocking nicely.
Steele looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Griffin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Steele working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Peter Griffin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peter Griffin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Garrison Steele!
