The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stinson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Blair tries to get to full guard but Stinson has control of the leg.
Stinson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Blair on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Blair tries to get out of the position.
Stinson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blair does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Stinson is pressing down on Blair's thigh, looking to free his foot. Blair is holding on for now.
Blair looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stinson wants to pass the guard but Blair is defending well.
Stinson is trying to control the action in half guard but Blair is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Blair misses with a few strikes there.

Stinson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blair swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tyler Blair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blair shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stinson is trying to defend but Blair finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Stinson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stinson.
Blair is breathing heavily.

Blair is looking to break free of the clinch but Stinson has double underhooks.
Stinson jumps guard but Blair stands there with Stinson around his waist. Stinson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Blair seems to have got his legs back now.
Stinson drops an elbow to the side of Blair's head.
Stinson content to control rather than advance.
Stinson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Blair!
Blair tries to lock up and control but Stinson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Blair is desperately trying to improve his position but Stinson has a good base and remains in mount.
Stinson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Stinson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
