Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vidar Engberg (ranked 4366 p4p, 25471 weight class) and Ray Ray Holt (ranked 453 p4p, 566 weight class). Ray Ray Holt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vidar Engberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Ray Holt!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engberg lands with an uppercut that bounces Holt off the cage and back into range.
Holt throws a lazy right hand but Engberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Holt throws a nice looking combination but Engberg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Engberg fails to land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Engberg doesn't manage to clinch there - Holt circles away.
Holt connects with a body shot.
Engberg lunges at Holt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Holt's hand.
Nice defenses there by Engberg.
Holt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Engberg connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Holt momentarily.
Engberg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Engberg swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Holt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Engberg ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Engberg throws a shot from downtown. Holt moves away and avoids it.

Vidar Engberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Engberg steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Holt.

Engberg is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Holt swings for the body but Engberg moves out of range.
Engberg throws a hook to the side of Holt's head but Holt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Engberg stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Engberg thows a left - swing and a miss!
Holt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Engberg.
Holt cracks Engberg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Engberg bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Holt's head backwards.
Engberg gets a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holt has Engberg pressed against the cage, preventing Engberg from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Holt throws a head punch that misses.
Engberg scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A nice right hand lands inside from Holt.

Holt misses with the head strike.
Holt misses with a punch on the inside.

A frustrated look appears on Engberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Engberg works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Engberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Engberg has managed to clinch.

Engberg is looking for a takedown.
Engberg manages to break the clinch.
Holt throws a big shot that misses.
Engberg lands with an uppercut that bounces Holt off the cage and back into range.
Holt tries to move into range but Engberg moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Holt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Engberg drops Holt with a beautiful combination! Holt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Engberg is looking for the KO!
Holt is rocked!
Holt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Engberg sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Holt is still on wobbly legs! Can Engberg finish him?
Engberg misses with a wild combination.
Holt swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Engberg ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Holt seems to have recovered his senses.
Holt with a nice cross.
Engberg scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nice jab there from Engberg.
Engberg jabs Holt right on the nose. Holt blinks but takes it well.
Engberg lands a left and a right that send Holt crashing to the mat, dazed. Engberg thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Engberg throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Engberg takes a swing at Holt's ribcage but misses.
Holt looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Engberg scores with a jab to the jaw.
Engberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holt.
Holt throws a jab when Engberg was well out of range.
Engberg cracks Holt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Engberg has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Holt to stand back up!
Holt moves out of range as Engberg strikes.
Engberg scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Engberg drops Holt with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Holt! Engberg dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vidar Engberg!
