Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Fiorenza (ranked 4085 p4p, 4814 weight class) and Kingston Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Fiorenza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Kingston Davids!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Fiorenza.
Fiorenza wants to clinch but Davids slips to the side

and Davids counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Davids stands and steps away. Fiorenza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fiorenza throws a leg kick that is checked

and Davids counters with a single leg into guard. Fiorenza didn't expect that.
Davids is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davids is looking to work some ground and pound but Fiorenza has wrist control.
Davids throws a big elbow that misses.

Davids has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fiorenza throws the kick towards the body but Davids avoids it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davids has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Fiorenza after a bit of a struggle.
Fiorenza wants to stall.
Fiorenza keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davids's efforts to push away.

Davids is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Fiorenza is trying to maintain a safe position but Davids gets an underhook and turns Fiorenza into the cage.

Davids jumps guard and drags Fiorenza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Davids pushes Fiorenza off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Davids gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fiorenza manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Fiorenza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Davids content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fiorenza is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Davids is keeping busy.

Davids has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fiorenza clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fiorenza can't escape the position.
Fiorenza is working hard here to advance position.
Fiorenza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davids on the ground.
I would not like to be Fiorenza right now.
It looks like Davids might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Davids throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Davids is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Fiorenza is defending well though. Davids let's go of the attempt for now.

Fiorenza lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

and Davids counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Fiorenza!

Davids is trying to get an arm triangle but Fiorenza is defending well.
Fiorenza parries the strikes from Davids easily there. Davids is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fiorenza to escape.
Fiorenza seems a little lost for a moment, as Davids dominates the positioning.

Davids has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Fiorenza!

Davids patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Davids has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Fiorenza has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davids trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Fiorenza doesn't escape.

Fiorenza is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Davids gets his way!

Davids has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Fiorenza! Can he survive? No! He's out! Davids gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
