Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shannon Allante (ranked 3422 p4p, 4074 weight class) and Ramiro Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ramiro Boyle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allante scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Boyle takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Boyle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Boyle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Boyle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Allante does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Allante is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boyle pulls his head out easily.
Allante is looking for a sweep. Boyle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Boyle wants to control but Allante is keeping him busy.

Allante tries to get to full guard but Boyle has control of the leg.

Allante is refusing to be controlled, as Boyle sits in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boyle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Allante keeps working.

Allante is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Boyle has latched onto it... Big trouble! Boyle pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Allante is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Boyle!
