The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothstein takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Sam Rothstein has been cut.
Rothstein shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Popper sprawls well. Popper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rothstein gets slowly back to his feet.
Popper throws an overhand right that lands on Rothstein's shoulder, as Rothstein tries to avoid the shot.
Sam Rothstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rothstein tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Popper counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rothstein! Popper lets Rothstein back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Rothstein is rocked!
Rothstein switches off momentarily and Popper cracks him with a monster right hand! Rothstein topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Popper dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Popper!
