Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davis Riley (ranked 2568 p4p, 4130 weight class) and Turner Trujillo (ranked 177 p4p, 267 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Davis Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Turner Trujillo!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Riley misses with a wild combination.
Riley misses with a series of wild punches.
Trujillo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Riley throws a right hand that Trujillo ducks under and follows up with a left that Trujillo also avoids with ease.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Trujillo jumps guard and drags Riley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trujillo is trying to control the position but Riley postures up.
Riley trying to control but Trujillo is working from the bottom.
Riley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trujillo on the ground.

Trujillo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Riley defends well.
Riley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Trujillo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Riley wants to get back to his feet.

Riley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Trujillo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A jab from Riley finds it's way through Trujillo's defenses.
Trujillo goes for a double leg but Riley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Riley continues to drive forward.
Trujillo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A close round but Turner Trujillo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Trujillo looks for a takedown but Riley sprawls well.
Riley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Trujillo tries a head kick but it misses.
Trujillo shoots in looking for a takedown. Riley tries to sprawl out of it but Trujillo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Riley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Trujillo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Riley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Riley punishes Trujillo's body with a nice straight punch.

and Riley counters with a stiff right hand.
Trujillo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Riley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Riley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Riley has had enough of the clinch but Trujillo keeps him there for the moment.

A frustrated look appears on Riley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Riley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Riley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Trujillo can't get the takedown.
Davis Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turner Trujillo.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Trujillo is on top in guard.

Riley uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Riley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Trujillo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Riley throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trujillo tries to clinch up but Riley circles away and keeps his distance.
Trujillo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A right-left combo lands from Riley.
Trujillo with a lazy takedown attempt
and Trujillo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Riley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Trujillo has time to react.
Trujillo throws a sloppy head kick and Riley moves out of range easily.
Trujillo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davis Riley is winning the standup battle so far.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Riley, as that shot connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Riley lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Riley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Trujillo fails with the takedown
and Trujillo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Riley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Trujillo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Riley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Trujillo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Riley to the mat! Riley manages to get full guard.
Riley is looking to stand up but Trujillo isn't so interested in that idea.

Riley keeping moving, preventing Trujillo from controlling successfully.

Davis Riley dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Trujillo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trujillo somewhat.

Davis Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turner Trujillo.
Riley lands a really nice looking cross but Trujillo seems unphased.

Riley tries to keep at a distance but Trujillo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Trujillo is still on wobbly legs! Can Riley finish him?
Riley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Trujillo seems to have recovered his senses.
Riley tries to break the clinch but Trujillo is controlling the position.
Trujillo has Riley pressed against the cage, preventing Riley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Trujillo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Trujillo jumps into guard, dragging Riley to the mat.
Riley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Trujillo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Riley has his hands clasped together but Trujillo extends and breaks Riley's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Trujillo.
