Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Eddie Alvarez (ranked 5173 p4p, 5831 weight class) and Yukon Cornelius (ranked 484 p4p, 531 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Eddie Alvarez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eddie Alvarez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice uppercut lands for Cornelius. That snapped Alvarez's head back.

Alvarez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cornelius.

Cornelius scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Alvarez beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

Cornelius tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Alvarez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cornelius throws the left hand but Alvarez avoids the punch easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alvarez thuds his right hand into Cornelius's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Cornelius tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alvarez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Yukon Cornelius should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alvarez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cornelius finds it's way round the side to connect with Alvarez's head.

Cornelius walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Cornelius is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
