Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Equilibrium (ranked 4491 p4p, 3380 weight class) and Chris Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson has chosen The Final Countdown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pedro Equilibrium has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pedro Equilibrium!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson drives through with a takedown into guard.

Equilibrium looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Equilibrium isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wilson stacks Equilibrium on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wilson!
Equilibrium prevents Wilson from improving position.
Wilson in side control lands a decent elbow.
Equilibrium is looking to reverse the position.
Equilibrium manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wilson's best efforts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Equilibrium is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilson's back!
Wilson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Wilson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Equilibrium's arms.
Equilibrium seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Equilibrium looking to break Wilson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Wilson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Equilibrium will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Equilibrium somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Equilibrium is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wilson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Equilibrium is breathing heavily.

Equilibrium is looking for the choke from the back position but Wilson is controlling his hands well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wilson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Wilson just looking to survive in the bad position.

Equilibrium is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wilson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wilson for a finish.

Wilson has hold of Equilibrium's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Equilibrium doesn't have the hooks in and Wilson manages to turn into his guard.

Equilibrium looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wilson has picked Equilibrium up and slammed him! Equilibrium can't keep hold of the triangle and Wilson manages to pass to side control!

Equilibrium misses with a strike from the bottom.

Wilson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wilson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Wilson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Wilson has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Equilibrium is forced to tap!
