Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Walton (ranked 2360 p4p, 2441 weight class) and Francis Brooks (ranked 250 p4p, 258 weight class). The key to victory for Jake Walton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walton tries to clinch
letting Brooks counter with a right hand.

It looks like Jake Walton has been cut.
Walton with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The fight stays on the outside here - Walton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left lands for Walton.

and Brooks counters with a crisp right hand that drops Walton! Brooks lets Walton back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Walton is rocked!
Brooks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Walton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brooks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Brooks just misses with a punch to the body.
Walton connects with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Walton counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Brooks is rocked!
Walton looks to throw the jab but Brooks is out of range.
It seemed like Brooks was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Walton lands a glancing blow to the side of Brooks's head.
Brooks is still on wobbly legs! Can Walton finish him?
Walton drops Brooks with a big left hand! Brooks is injured, injured bad! Walton jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
