Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arriorus Adee (ranked 1500 p4p, 1293 weight class) and Chike Obi (ranked 163 p4p, 139 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obi digs a good body shot into Adee's ribs.
Obi blocks the body kick.

Obi clinches up with Adee and pushes him back against the cage.
Obi jumps guard but Adee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A short body shot lands from Adee as the two fighters clinch.
Obi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Adee just stands there and leans against the cage.

Adee lands a right hand that snaps the head of Obi backwards.

Obi has a closed guard, preventing Adee from standing up.

Obi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Obi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Obi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Adee's head backwards.

It looks like Arriorus Adee has been cut.
Adee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Obi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Adee throws the left hand but Obi avoids the punch easily.

Adee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Obi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Adee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Adee throws a nice inside leg kick.
Adee digs a good body shot into Obi's ribs.
A nice leg kick from Adee, right into the meat of the thigh.

Obi misses with a looping left.

And Adee counters with a quick kick to the body but Obi blocks it.

Obi drops back looking for a leg! Adee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adee manages to kick Obi off! Obi jumps back into Adee's guard.
Oh Adee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Obi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It seemed like Obi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Adee lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Obi misses with a hook. Adee ducked under it nicely.
Obi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Adee moves away.

Obi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Adee just stands there and leans against the cage.
Arriorus Adee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chike Obi.

Obi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Adee throws a shot to the body.
Obi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Adee throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Obi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Adee takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Adee lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Adee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Obi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Obi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adee walks away with a smile on his face. Obi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Obi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
