Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Foster (ranked 2212 p4p, 3381 weight class) and Tyler Veal (ranked 259 p4p, 360 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leonard Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Veal!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veal looks to throw a body kick

and Foster counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Foster is trying to control. Veal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Foster is looking to advance position but Veal won't allow it.
Foster has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Veal tries to reverse the position but Foster maintains control.
Foster lands with some strikes.
Foster trying to control but he's not successful this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veal is looking to improve his position but Foster isn't that keen on the idea.
Foster lands a nice shot to the head.
Foster looking to control but Veal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Veal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Foster cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Foster scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Veal?
Veal gets back to half guard.
Foster sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Veal defending well though.
Still in half guard, Foster seems content to control.
Veal wants to get back to full guard.

Veal actively working from the bottom here.
Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Foster throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster winds up and cracks Veal with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Foster tries to pass to full mount but Veal defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Foster is keen to just control but Veal is a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Veal is looking for a sweep. Foster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Foster is trying to control. Veal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Still in half guard, Foster seems content to control.
Veal is not content to let Foster control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Foster working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Veal's thigh. Veal counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Foster chips away with some ground and pound.
Foster works over Veal with some ground and pound from guard.
Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Veal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Foster looking to pass the guard.
Veal keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully.
Foster landing some decent shots from guard.
Veal trying to keep a closed guard but Foster is proving a slippery customer.

Veal working for a triangle but Foster defends it easily.
We've been hearing that Foster has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Veal is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Veal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Foster is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Foster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Foster slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Foster tries to move into full mount but can't pass Veal's legs.
Foster advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Veal tries to reverse the position but Foster maintains control.
Foster looking to control but Veal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Foster lands a nice shot to the head.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Foster controlling from the full mount.
Foster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Veal tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Foster wants to control the pace but Veal is squirming around nicely.
Veal keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Foster landing shots from mount.

It looks like Tyler Veal has been cut.
Foster pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Veal is rocked!
Foster controlling the position easily from mount.
Veal is still in real trouble! Can Foster finish him?

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Veal is in all sorts of trouble here.
Foster loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Veal scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Foster land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Foster stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leonard Foster!
A relieved looking Leonard Foster thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
