Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tater Salad!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balgav gets tackled into the cage by Salad. Salad maintains the clinch.
Salad is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Balgav gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Balgav definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Balgav gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Balgav throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Balgav working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Salad's thigh. Salad counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Balgav won't allow Salad to get back to his feet.
Balgav trying to control the position from guard on top but Salad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Balgav stops Salad from standing up.
Salad keeping moving, preventing Balgav from controlling successfully.
Balgav throwing strikes but missing.
Balgav will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Balgav gets to his feet. Salad looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Salad throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balgav.
Balgav was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Salad looking to score a takedown here. Balgav is defending well but Salad drives through and ends up in Balgav's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Balgav manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Balgav has hold of one of Salad's legs. Salad is fighting the takedown attempt but Balgav gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Balgav prevents Salad from getting back to his feet.
Salad keeping moving, preventing Balgav from controlling successfully.
Balgav tries to free his leg and advance position but Salad is retaining full guard.

Balgav's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Salad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Balgav gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Salad misses with a two punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Salad shoots for a double leg takedown but Balgav sprawls well. He's pushed Salad's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Balgav tried to counter with a leg kick but Salad avoided it.
Salad tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Balgav counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Salad looks winded!

Salad doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Balgav counters with a left to the body.
Borscht Balgav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tater Salad.
Salad throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Balgav counters with a series of strikes. Salad will be more careful next time no doubt.
Salad swings widly with a right hand

and Balgav counters with a crisp right hand that drops Salad! Balgav lets Salad back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salad wants to clinch but Balgav slips to the side
and Balgav counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Salad misses with a takedown
and Balgav counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Salad out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Balgav is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
