Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boby Marreta (ranked 4705 p4p, 24917 weight class) and Dwight Shrute (ranked 489 p4p, 595 weight class). Shrute has chosen Battlestart Galactica theme as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dwight Shrute!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marreta looking to score a takedown here. Shrute is defending well but Marreta drives through and ends up in Shrute's guard.
Shrute looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Shrute is working an open guard so Marreta takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shrute shoots and misses
and Marreta counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Shrute off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Marreta follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Shrute was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Boby Marreta!
In his post fight interview, Boby Marreta started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
