Duarte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Duarte escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crew gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Let's hope that Duarte has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Duarte sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crew's guard.

Crew tries to buck Duarte off but Duarte is having none of it.

Duarte goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crew has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Duarte but great work by Crew.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duarte parries the strikes from Crew easily there. Crew is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Duarte to escape.
