The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashbrock pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Zolghadr back to the cage. Ashbrock follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Ashkon Zolghadr has been cut.
Zolghadr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ashbrock but Ashbrock pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Zolghadr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ashbrock avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ashkon Zolghadr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ashbrock throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Zolghadr stumbling backwards into the cage! Zolghadr bounces back off the cage towards Ashbrock, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Ashbrock lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Ashbrock celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
