Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Shrood (ranked 3939 p4p, 3953 weight class) and Pogodin Vadimovich (ranked 396 p4p, 395 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shrood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shrood wants it to stay on the feet.
As Vadimovich looks to move away, Shrood throws a big counter combo but Vadimovich just gets out of the way.
Vadimovich throws a hook to the side of Shrood's head but Shrood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vadimovich tries to clinch up.

Vadimovich dives in and scores a takedown into Shrood's guard.

Shrood scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Vadimovich shoots in looking for a takedown. Shrood tries to sprawl out of it but Vadimovich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shrood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vadimovich shoots in and bounces Shrood off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Shrood is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vadimovich is controlling him.

Shrood is looking to stand up but Vadimovich isn't so interested in that idea.

Shrood has momentary wrist control but Vadimovich slips an elbow through the middle.

Oh Shrood is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vadimovich gets to his feet and stands over Shrood, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Shrood felt that one! Vadimovich unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Shrood from any more punishment!
