The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez circles away from the clinch attempt
and Alvarez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Winstone tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvarez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Alvarez motions for Winstone to come forward. Alvarez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Winstone tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Alvarez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Winstone leaves his chin hanging out and Alvarez seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Winstone crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

In his post fight interview, Eddie Alvarez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
