The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

With the fighters up against the cage, Meeks throws an elbow but misses.

Meeks pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Tartakov presses Meeks against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Tartakov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tartakov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tartakov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Turner Meeks has been cut.
Meeks is looking to clinch.
Tartakov scores with a decent looking hook.
Meeks tries to clinch but Tartakov is having none of it.
Turner Meeks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meeks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tartakov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tartakov gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tartakov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Meeks to see if he's OK.

You can see the frustration on Meeks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tartakov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Meeks has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tartakov has an Americana. Meeks didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tartakov is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tartakov hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Turner Meeks was interviewed post fight and said 'I blame the Ivermectin'.
