Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan David Franco!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Davis misses with a hook to the ribs.
A frustrated look appears on Franco's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Davis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Franco wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Davis tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Davis lands a shot to the body.
Franco working hard to break the clinch.
Davis gets through Franco's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Franco blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Franco prevents a body shot from Davis.
Davis lands a body punch in the clinch.
Davis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Franco's efforts to push away.
Davis lands a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Davis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davis throws a body punch but Franco moves out of range.
Davis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Franco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Davis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis jabs Franco right on the nose. Franco blinks but takes it well.
Franco slips a jab from Davis.

Davis lands a big right hand that sends Franco crashing to the mat! Davis stays standing though and waves Franco back to his feet!

Franco is rocked!
Davis lands a nice shot to the body.
Franco is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
Davis circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Franco to the canvas! Franco doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Davis keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Davis!
In his post fight interview, Danny Davis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
