Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eder Freitas (ranked 24653 p4p, 3963 weight class) and Jack Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eder Freitas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eder Freitas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Browne!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas throws a head kick that misses.
Despite the aggression on Browne's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Browne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Freitas wants to control but Browne postures up.
Freitas is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Browne has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Freitas is looking to regain half guard here but Browne keeps moving and retains side control.
Browne controls the position from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freitas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Browne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Browne wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Freitas, who protects the arm well.
Browne is looking to take a break and control but Freitas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Browne advances to full mount.
Freitas has given up his back. Will we see Browne going for some submissions?
Freitas is trying to get back to his feet but Browne has full control of the position and if anything, Freitas has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Despite being in a bad position, Freitas is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.
Freitas looking very determined here, making life difficult for Browne.

Browne is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Freitas is defending well though. Browne let's go of the attempt for now.
Browne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freitas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Browne cracks Freitas with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Freitas from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Browne working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Freitas trying to control the hands but Browne breaks the grip.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Freitas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Browne is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Freitas is trying to get back to his feet but Browne has full control of the position and if anything, Freitas has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Freitas is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Browne doesn't have the hooks in and Freitas manages to turn into his guard.
Browne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Freitas is controlling him.
Freitas passes Browne's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Freitas escapes and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Browne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Browne shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Freitas is looking to control Browne's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Freitas avoid being mounted?
Freitas is looking to escape.
Freitas preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Freitas tries to roll over but Browne keeps him under control.

Freitas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Freitas is working an open guard so Browne takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Freitas pivots, looking for a leg kick but Browne is out of range and Freitas settles back down.
And Browne tries to counter it with a takedown but Freitas pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Freitas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Freitas tries to circle away but Browne has him pinned against the cage.
Browne is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Freitas pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Browne fails to pull guard.

Freitas pulls guard effortlessly.
Freitas is pulling down on Browne's head. It's preventing any offense from Browne, at least for the moment.
Freitas looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Browne puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Browne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Freitas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Browne stalling away here and it's allowed Freitas to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Freitas throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Browne wants to stand and escape but instead Freitas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Freitas controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jack Browne has got the better of the ground game so far.
Freitas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Browne wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Freitas has taken Browne's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Browne has been forced to tap!
