The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smyth dives in and grabs Desceosarrafo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Desceosarrafo pushes down on Smyth's head and hops out.
Desceosarrafo throws a series of punches but Smyth avoids them all with ease.
A right-left combo lands from Desceosarrafo.
Smyth tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Desceosarrafo defends well and Smyth ends up having to push Desceosarrafo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Desceosarrafo lands a left and a right that send Smyth crashing to the mat, dazed. Desceosarrafo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smyth is holding his hands too far apart here. Desceosarrafo throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Smyth is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
