Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenard Uppercrust (ranked 5178 p4p, 5665 weight class) and Skyler Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uppercrust has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uppercrust thows a body kick. Gibson tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Uppercrust is breathing heavily.
Uppercrust throws a head kick that misses.
Uppercrust fails with the takedown.
Gibson with the counter takedown but Uppercrust avoids it easily.
Uppercrust will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gibson wants to counter with a clinch but Uppercrust pushes him away.
Uppercrust closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gibson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenard Uppercrust. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Uppercrust tries a head kick but it misses.
Gibson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gibson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Gibson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Uppercrust defends it well.

Gibson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Uppercrust some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
