Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zack Jackson (ranked 3722 p4p, 3442 weight class) and Khabib Mebab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by YG - Suu Whoop. Mebab has chosen Some as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mebab has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Mebab is controlling the position.

Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mebab.
Jackson misses with a looping left.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Mebab is just out of range.

Mebab feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mebab is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mebab throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jackson uses it to pass to side control.

Mebab is trying to reverse the position but instead Jackson has taken his back - oops!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mebab rolls, trying to escape but Jackson keeps control of the position.

Jackson gets to his feet! The crowd go wild in anticipation of a knockout!
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mebab moves away.
It seemed like Mebab was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Mebab has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.

Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mebab is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Jackson wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mebab manages to avoid it.
Jackson scores with the left hand. Mebab knows he should have avoided that one.
Mebab takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Mebab clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
Mebab is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mebab tightens his grip and picks Jackson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jackson manages to land in guard.

Mebab drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jackson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mebab has Jackson in his guard.

Mebab doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mebab wants to hit a sweep here but Jackson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mebab there!

Jackson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Mebab counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Mebab is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackson's half guard.

We've been told by Jackson's head coaches at ubergym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

OH! Mebab has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Jackson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Jackson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Mebab sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
