PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malosi Hokano (ranked 3951 p4p, 5404 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 385 p4p, 433 weight class). Hokano comes to the ring accompanied by Down under. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malosi Hokano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov misses with a takedown attempt - Hokano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Khalidov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Khalidov slips a jab and a cross from Hokano.
Khalidov tries to clinch up

and Hokano counters with a crisp one two that drops Khalidov! Hokano thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Khalidov to his feet! Khalidov is in big trouble!
Hokano cracks Khalidov with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Khalidov tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hokano pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Khalidov is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malosi Hokano!
