Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dill Nickle (ranked 1291 p4p, 1738 weight class) and Nasir Prince (ranked 103 p4p, 142 weight class). Prince has chosen Nas- N.Y. State of Mind as his entrance music. Dill Nickle is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dill Nickle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nasir Prince!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prince is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nickle.
Nickle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nickle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Prince but Prince pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nickle tries to move into range but Prince moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nickle dodges the punch combination from Prince.
Prince tries to score with a low kick but Nickle moves his leg out of the way.
An inside leg kick from Prince misses.
We've been told by Nickle's head coaches at Death By Snu Snu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sloppy strikes from Prince. Those never looked like landing.
Nasir Prince seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Nickle counters with a shoot takedown. Prince fights it but they end up in guard.
Nickle throws a strike but Prince rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Nickle is looking to sweep but instead, Prince has passed into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Prince prevents Nickle from improving his position.

Nickle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Prince pulls his head out easily.
Nickle tries to roll over but Prince keeps him under control.
Nickle wants to control but Prince is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prince is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nickle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Prince is working away from the top position though.
Nickle gets back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nickle looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prince has picked Nickle up and slammed him! Nickle can't keep hold of the triangle and Prince manages to pass to side control!

Prince gets to mount! Nickle was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Nickle is just holding on here. Prince manages to take his back.

Nickle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Prince did well to prevent Nickle getting side control.

Nickle is looking for a kimura but Prince is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nickle to get the leverage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nickle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nickle throws a strike but Prince rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nickle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Prince uses it to pass to side control.

You can see the frustration on Nickle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nickle tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Nickle is desperately trying to improve his position but Prince has a good base and remains in mount.
Prince is looking to stand but Nickle has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Nickle slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Nasir Prince showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Prince is working to avoid the ground and pound but Nickle connects with a decent elbow.

Nickle swings around for an armbar but Prince sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nickle's guard.

Nickle is looking for a triangle here but Prince uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Nickle looking for a sweep but Prince has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Nickle is trying to reverse the position but instead Prince has taken his back - oops!
Prince keeps control of the position as Nickle tries to break free.

Prince doesn't have the hooks in and Nickle manages to turn into his guard.

Nickle trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Prince manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Nickle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Prince is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nickle.

Prince seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

I would just about give that final round to Nasir Prince.
Well Prince has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
