Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sir Beocca (ranked 3029 p4p, 3838 weight class) and Weenis McGuinty (ranked 323 p4p, 392 weight class). Beocca 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Alok & Mojjo - Love Love feat. Gilsons. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beocca misses with a looping right.
McGuinty looks to score with a jab to the body but Beocca is just out of range.

McGuinty takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McGuinty has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McGuinty there as he acknowledges the shot.
McGuinty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Beocca counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGuinty throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Beocca swings for the body but McGuinty moves out of range.

McGuinty has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Beocca after a bit of a struggle.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Beocca just misses with a elbow thrown towards McGuinty's brow.

McGuinty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beocca walks away with a smile on his face. McGuinty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Beocca looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McGuinty shoots in for a takedown but Beocca shows good takedown defense.
McGuinty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beocca throws out the jab.
Beocca fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McGuinty has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Beocca connects with a body shot that sends McGuinty's belly button to the back.
Beocca delivers a nice body kick.

McGuinty drives through with a takedown into guard.
Beocca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Beocca is trying to control the action in half guard but McGuinty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Beocca in particular looking to stall.
Beocca wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGuinty keeps working.
Beocca tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Beocca passes the guard and advances to mount!
McGuinty tries to lock up and control but Beocca gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McGuinty wants to control but Beocca is having none of it.
Beocca prevents McGuinty from getting the reversal.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
McGuinty keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Beocca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGuinty on the ground.
McGuinty regains half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beocca wants to take a breather but McGuinty is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Weenis McGuinty's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
