The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Kallio misses the target.
Rossiter throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kallio counters with a nice uppercut.
Kallio fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rossiter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kallio lands with a cross.
Kallio throws a lazy body kick
and Rossiter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kallio dips to his left and cracks Rossiter with an uppercut!
Rossiter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kallio was well out of range. Poor timing from Rossiter.
Kallio misses with a looping left.
Rossiter thinks about countering with a head kick.
Rossiter blocks a head kick by Kallio.
Kallio moves out of range as Rossiter throws a body kick.
Kai Rossiter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kallio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rossiter throws a good cross that connects.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rossiter misses with a wild body shot.

Kallio is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rossiter with a body shot.
Rossiter misses with a hook. Kallio ducked under it nicely.

Rossiter scores with a jab. Kallio acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Kallio jabs Rossiter right on the nose. Rossiter blinks but takes it well.

Kallio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rossiter wants to clinch.
Kallio lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rossiter's sensitive parts.

and Kallio connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kallio moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Kallio cracks Rossiter with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Rossiter get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Rossiter looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Kallio is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rossiter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Rossiter wants to clinch but Kallio slips to the side
and Kallio counters with a straight right hand.

Rossiter is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kallio. Rossiter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oh Rossiter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Kallio engages and cracks Rossiter with a massive lead left hook - Rossiter tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Kallio is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
