Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Mazepin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lewis is trying to defend but Mazepin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mazepin seems to be looking for submissions.

Lewis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Mazepin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mazepin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lewis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mazepin.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lewis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazepin drops an elbow to the side of Lewis's head.

Mazepin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mazepin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lewis is rocked!
Mazepin lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lewis quite badly. Lewis pulls Mazepin in close trying to recover. Mazepin postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lewis on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lewis doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fedor Mazepin!
Fedor Mazepin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
