Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lamberto De Mattos (ranked 2585 p4p, 2606 weight class) and Thomas English (ranked 132 p4p, 133 weight class). English comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Muffin Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
English throws a series of punches but De Mattos moves out of range.

English just misses with a punch to the body.
English bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
De Mattos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
English looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A shot to the liver by English. Beautiful body shot.
De Mattos throws a head kick but English moves out of range.
Donk. English catches De Mattos right on the button with a cross.
De Mattos throws a leg kick that is checked
and English counters with a stiff right hand.
English throws the left hand but De Mattos avoids the punch easily.
Good work by English as he checks the leg kick.
De Mattos lands with a nice combination. English backs away looking to recover.

and English counters with a crisp right hand that drops De Mattos ! English lets De Mattos back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Lamberto De Mattos has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
English feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends De Mattos sprawling to the canvas! De Mattos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can English finish him?!
De Mattos is rocked!
A head kick misses from De Mattos .
Oh De Mattos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! English lands a beautiful left hook that drops De Mattos . De Mattos tries to recover but English is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and De Mattos lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
