Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Okami (ranked 2310 p4p, 5252 weight class) and Jesucao Romerao (ranked 91 p4p, 263 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryo Okami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesucao Romerao!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romerao tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Okami defends well and Romerao ends up having to push Okami into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Okami moves into range and clinches up with Romerao.
Romerao is working for takedown but Okami is calmly controlling the position for now.
Okami throws a knee to the head but misses.

Okami pulls Romerao into guard.
Okami looking for a sweep. Not yet Okami, not yet.

Romerao gets to his feet. Okami looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Romerao digs a good hook to Okami's body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romerao wants to break the clinch but can't.
Romerao is looking to break free of the clinch but Okami has double underhooks.

Okami jumps guard and drags Romerao to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Okami has control of Romerao's left arm, preventing Romerao from doing any damage.
Romerao wants to stand and escape but instead Okami has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Romerao wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Okami is now in half guard.
Romerao tries to roll over but Okami keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okami is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Romerao looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Okami performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Okami's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Okami has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Romerao looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Okami pushes past his half guard into mount!

Okami takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Okami has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Romerao's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Romerao is looking to control the hands but Okami breaks free and manages to sink in a rear naked choke that ends the fight!
