Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Haiden Surz (ranked 3700 p4p, 4088 weight class) and Shivaji Bhosle (ranked 0 p4p, 437 weight class). Surz has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Shivaji Bhosle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Haiden Surz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shivaji Bhosle!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bhosle with the counter takedown but Surz avoids it easily.
Surz thumps Bhosle with a low kick.
Bhosle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Surz was well out of range. Poor timing from Bhosle.
Surz shoots in looking for a takedown but Bhosle manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Surz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bhosle now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A jab-cross combination lands for Bhosle and sends Surz crashing to the mat! Bhosle follows him down to the mat - Surz regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Surz is rocked!
Surz is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bhosle is controlling the pace.
Oh Surz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Surz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bhosle is working away from the top position though.
Surz seems to have got his legs back now.
Bhosle stands up and beckons Surz to join him on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bhosle throws a right and a left that Surz avoids nicely.
Surz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bhosle manages to avoid it.
Bhosle lands a right hook to the body.
Surz throws a lazy head kick
and Surz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bhosle dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bhosle misses with a wild combination.
Surz is looking to counter with head kicks.
Surz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bhosle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Surz tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Surz checks a low kick from Bhosle.
Bhosle cracks Surz with a good jab.
Bhosle connects with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bhosle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Surz drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bhosle sprawls and moves away.
Bhosle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bhosle misses with a low kick as Surz jumps back.
Bhosle circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Surz to the canvas! Surz doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Bhosle keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shivaji Bhosle!
