PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kane (ranked 2999 p4p, 3154 weight class) and Boxing Trainer (ranked 392 p4p, 400 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of , Boxing Trainer!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a hook but Trainer avoids it easily.
Kane swinging wildly here.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trainer! But no joy.
Kane swings widly with a right hand
and Trainer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A jab from Kane misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Trainer misses.
Kane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Trainer ducks under a wild hook from Kane.
Kane pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Trainer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane throws a looping overhand right but Trainer ducks down to avoid it.
Trainer unleashes a big counter combination but Kane bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Kane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Trainer counters with a left to the body.
Kane misses with a left hand
letting Trainer counter with a right hand.
Kane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Trainer counters with a left to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kane misses with a few strikes there.
A head kick misses from Kane.
Kane throws a sloppy head kick and Trainer moves out of range easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trainer! But no joy.
Kane looks to land a combination but Trainer avoids it well.
It seemed like Trainer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Trainer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kane throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Trainer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kane throws a head kick that misses.
Kane getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kane throws a lazy uppercut
and Trainer counters with a straight right hand.
Kane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trainer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trainer! But no joy.
Kane throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Trainer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trainer misses the shot to the body.
Trainer slips a jab from Kane.
Trainer doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kane throws a head kick that misses.
Trainer doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kane throws a jab but it's blocked by Trainer.
Trainer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kane throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Trainer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kane with a body shot.
Kane misses with a two punch combination.
Kane throws an off balance right hand
and Trainer counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like David Kane has been cut.
Kane misses with a combination
and Trainer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Kane.
Kane misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Trainer to counter with a crisp jab.

Kane is rocked!
Trainer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kane.
David Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane throws a lazy uppercut

and Trainer counters with a nice right hand that sends Kane toppling to the canvas! Kane scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Trainer finish him?!
Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Trainer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kane had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trainer! But no joy.
A head kick by Kane misses
and Trainer counters with a huge left! Kane is in big trouble! He's backing up but Trainer isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kane from any more damage. A dominating finish by Trainer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boxing Trainer!
