The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Entwhistle lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Entwhistle scores with a jab to the head.
Entwhistle looks to land a combination but Gurgel avoids it well.
Gurgel drops down looking for a counter takedown but Entwhistle sprawls and moves away.
Gurgel shoots in for a takedown but Entwhistle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Entwhistle throws a right hand that Gurgel ducks under and follows up with a left that Gurgel also avoids with ease.
Gurgel fails with the takedown.
Entwhistle fails to land with a series of punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Entwhistle. Gurgel does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gurgel is defended easily by Entwhistle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Gurgel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Entwhistle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Gurgel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gurgel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gurgel advances position into side control!

Gurgel has hold of Entwhistle's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Entwhistle tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gurgel cranks the arm and Entwhistle screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Entwhistle, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
