Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Pulizzi!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flatendo throws an off balance right hand
and Pulizzi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Pulizzi lands with a nice combination. Flatendo backs away looking to recover.
Flatendo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've been told by Flatendo's head coaches at The Jungle Room that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Flatendo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pulizzi.
A nice side step and Pulizzi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Pulizzi moves away from the strike by Flatendo.
Pulizzi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Flatendo.
Demarcus Flatendo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flatendo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pulizzi counters with a right hand to the body.
The fighters circling - Flatendo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pulizzi lands with an uppercut that bounces Flatendo off the cage and back into range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Flatendo. Those never looked like landing.

Flatendo gets a clinch.
Pulizzi blocks an uppercut.
Pulizzi is looking to break free of the clinch but Flatendo has double underhooks.

Pulizzi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A big right from Flatendo misses.
Pulizzi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Flatendo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Pulizzi.

Pulizzi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Flatendo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pulizzi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Flatendo looks to land a left hand but Pulizzi moved out of range nicely.
Flatendo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pulizzi scores with a jab to the head.
Pulizzi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pulizzi catches Flatendo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Flatendo instigates a clinch.
Flatendo swings wildly with an uppercut but Pulizzi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pulizzi jumps guard but Flatendo stands there with Pulizzi around his waist. Pulizzi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pulizzi misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flatendo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pulizzi's elbow.

Pulizzi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pulizzi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flatendo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pulizzi is tightening it up a little... Flatendo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Flatendo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Flatendo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Pulizzi!
