Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davon Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brady Punch!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Summers drives through and clinches with Punch against the ropes.
Punch is trying to force a seperation but Summers has the dominant position.
Punch is trying to break the clinch but Summers has him pressed against the ropes.
Punch tries to stall but Summers uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Summers as Punch tries to tie him up.
Punch is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Summers has denied him.
Summers prevents Punch from breaking the clinch.

Punch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Punch tries to bum rush Summers with a series of wild strikes but Summers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Summers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Punch or not.
Summers tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Punch avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Punch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Summers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Punch, pushing him back against the ropes.

Summers will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Punch up against the ropes.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Summers for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Punch connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Summers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Punch swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Summers has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Punch throws a series of punches but Summers moves out of range.

Brady Punch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Punch. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've been informed that Punch has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Punch looks to land a combination. Summers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Punch might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Punch counters with a left and a right that stings Summers.

Brady Punch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Punch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
