Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Beto Ribeiro (ranked 1349 p4p, 1685 weight class) and William Lewis (ranked 185 p4p, 227 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis wants to clinch.
A jab from Lewis misses.
Ribeiro throwing a counter right hand but Lewis manages to avoid it.
Ribeiro misses with a series of wild punches.
Lewis swings for the body but Ribeiro moves out of range.
Ribeiro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lewis.
William Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lewis misses with a body shot.
Lewis misses with a looping left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis misses with a body punch
and Ribeiro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like William Lewis has been cut.
Lewis tries to clinch there but Ribeiro circles away.
Ribeiro throwing a counter right hand but Lewis manages to avoid it.
Lewis misses with a low kick.
Lewis misses the shot to the body.
Lewis is looking to score with low kicks.

Lewis throws a body shot but no joy.
A little feinted left hand from Ribeiro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ribeiro with a nice cross.
Lewis looks to land a left hand but Ribeiro moved out of range nicely.
Ribeiro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Ribeiro drops Lewis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lewis looks back up at him and smiles so Ribeiro waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lewis is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ribeiro knocks out Lewis with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Ribeiro before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Ribeiro picks up the big W with a huge KO!

In his post fight interview, Beto Ribeiro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
