Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kadyn Mercer (ranked 4040 p4p, 5536 weight class) and Caiden Banks (ranked 256 p4p, 295 weight class). Caiden Banks struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Caiden Banks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mercer moves into range and clinches up with Banks.

Mercer drags the fight down to the ground.

Mercer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Banks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Banks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mercer has his foot on Banks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Banks works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banks won't allow Mercer to sweep him here.

Mercer quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Banks has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mercer celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
