Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amoo Khan (ranked 24691 p4p, 4757 weight class) and Alexei Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 230 weight class). The key to victory for Amoo Khan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a sloppy body shot

and Petrov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Khan!
Khan can't do much from the bottom here.
Petrov misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Petrov.
Petrov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Petrov throwing strikes but Khan manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Khan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

so Petrov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petrov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petrov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Petrov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Petrov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Petrov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Khan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Khan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Khan!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petrov has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Khan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Petrov has tightened it up now! Khan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
