Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Deigos (ranked 2344 p4p, 3172 weight class) and Okoro Igwe (ranked 328 p4p, 406 weight class). Alex Deigos has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Deigos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Okoro Igwe!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deigos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Igwe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Deigos.

Igwe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Igwe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Deigos haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Igwe has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Igwe holds on to Deigos's head and controls the position momentarily.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Igwe tries to buck Deigos off but Deigos is having none of it.

A close round but Okoro Igwe will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Igwe darts in looking for a takedown but Deigos gets double underhooks and turns Igwe into the cage.

Deigos cracks Igwe with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Okoro Igwe has been cut.

Igwe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Deigos pulls Igwe in close to prevent any damage.
Deigos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Igwe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deigos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Igwe changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Igwe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deigos but Deigos pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Igwe is breathing heavily.
Deigos moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Igwe closes the distance and clinches up with Deigos, looking for a takedown. Igwe pushes Deigos against the cage but Deigos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Okoro Igwe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Igwe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Deigos sprawls well. Deigos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Igwe gets slowly back to his feet.

Igwe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Deigos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Igwe.
