These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billingsly blocks a low kick nicely.
Billingsly misses with a hook to the body
enabling Sobral to counter with a crisp jab.

Sobral bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Billingsly! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Chad Billingsly has been cut.
Billingsly looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Billingsly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sobral's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sobral is looking to stand up but Billingsly isn't so interested in that idea.
Billingsly has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sobral tries to score with a low kick but Billingsly moves his leg out of the way.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sobral is aggressively charging in as Billingsly backs up avoiding any damage. Billingsly tosses out a jab and Sobral runs right into it face first! Sobral is out cold! Billingsly dropped down on all fours and is barking in Sobral's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
